Pancakes are one of those good sins
What do I do when It's 8pm and I've read all of my favorite news sites and blogs, Ido is still at work, I've completed the Dr. prescribed twice daily naps, and eaten half a roll of Tums? I make and eat pancakes!
These pancakes are the size of a dinner plate, delicious, and *healthy*! They are packed with the yummiest of ingredients- toasted oat bran, eggs, and walnuts. Since we found out that our little Whatshername is on the small side my Dr has changed my daily routine. One thing that has change dramatically is what I am eating. I found out today that I am anemic. First order of change is that I must try to not mix my meat an dairy. That's a point for the Jews! This is how it works- Of the seven pills I must take daily, two are Calcium and Iron. I must take the Calcium (found in most dairy) at a different time that I take the super Iron (a main source is meat) and I must drink something with stores of Vitamin C when I take the Iron. Calcium blocks the absorption of Iron and C assists. I must eat at least 110g of protein and an additional 500 calories a day, and I must spread it out over the entire day. I eat protein shakes mixed in milk at least once a day for 38g of protein. This is quite disgusting. I eat meat. This is also disgusting because it must be cooked all the way. And this is how I justify the pancake sin- Each pancake tastes great, gives me 300 calories, 22g of protein, and a happy fully stomach. Ha!
Tomorrow for breakfast I'm making green eggs and ham. Calm down kids, I did not kidnap the Easter Bunny. My Araucana hens Stoop and Id provided these green eggs:
